In Honor of Arbor Day

In honor of Arbor day in addition to planting a tree here are some things you can do to cut down on the cutting down!

Paper towels and napkins, do you really need to use them? Did you know that Virgin fiber is that which comes straight from a tree is used for paper towels, napkins and that super soft tP. Why not use cloth towels or 100% recycled products. Here is a statistic for you, if every household in the United States replaced one roll of virgin-fiber paper towels with 100 percent recycled paper towels, we could save 1.4 million trees. If every household in the United States replaced just one package of virgin fiber napkins with 100 percent recycled ones, we could save 1 million trees. . Cloth towels may take as much to create and transport to your home but you use them over and over and they last many years.

Junk mail!!!! It’s estimated that it takes 3.6 million tons of paper (53 million trees) to produce the catalogs people recieve in the mail in a year. Read Stop Junk Mail.
