Tilly’s - Live the Sierra Life Style!

Welcome, I'm glad you could stop by.

The intention of this blog is to inform and entertain all those fun loving people out there that love life and all the exciting adventures this big beautiful planet has to offer and are looking for a great place to call home.

I want to spread the word about the fantastic Incline village area, Truckee, Tahoe, Squaw Valley, Donner, Lahontan, and NorthStar/Big Spring.

My little corner of the world is particularly fantastic (if I do say so myself).

Where is this fantastic corner you ask? Well, it's Truckee Ca. near the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range where the crest or the range near Lake Tahoe is roughly 9,000.

We have it all ! We have nearby Lake Tahoe with it's clear freshwater lake.We have Yosemite National Park, Mount Whitney, and The famous Giant Sequoias.

We have skiing, boating, kayaking, snowboarding, hikiing, biking, climbing, shopping, dining, fishing, old west history, and tons more to do.

Did you know that Sierra Nevada means "snowy range" in Spanish. Go figure!

Well I don't want to get carried away on my first post. So I will save some interesting facts about the area for later.

If you have had the opportunity to visit the area why not take a moment and tell me about it.

I would love to hear all about your adventure, what ever it was. Skiing, hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing, climbing, camping, shopping, or just hangin. If you had fun doing it, tell me about it and if you have pictures…cool!

I can't wait to hear from you.

Until then, make everyday an adventure.

Hope to hear from you soon,

Tilly

    Hi Tilly,

Just wanted to stop in and let you know that I live in Truckee, California, and have a career that evolved out of this fantastic mountain lifestyle. I’m a website developer and adventure travel writer. Check out my skiing blog (http://www.skiing-blog.com) or my ski and adventure writing (typetmedia.com/writing.php) for a taste.

Looks like the Skiing Blog didn’t link, so here it is again. Today I posted an article on the genetic and biological characteristics of base jumpers and other risk takers.
